Revolutionising Cardiac Care: New Era Hospital and Narayana Health City Launch Advanced Heart Care Clinic in Nagpur
Nagpur, January 2025 — In a clinical collaboration, New Era Hospital, Nagpur, and Narayana Health City, Bengaluru have launched the Advanced Heart Care Clinic at New Era Hospital. This partnership signifies an important step in bringing world-class cardiac care to the residents of Nagpur. With access to renowned heart specialists from Narayana Health City, the clinic aims to transform the healthcare landscape of the region.
Heart failure affects approximately 80 lacs to 1 crore individuals in India. Most individuals improve with treatment consisting medications, surgery, devices etc. However, around 5% of these people suffer from advanced heart disease unresponsive to the usual treatment. Complex treatments like heart transplant or durable left ventricular assist device (LVAD) may be needed for such people with advanced heart disease. People can live a full and healthy life with these therapies. Despite the significant need and good outcomes only about 200 heart transplants are performed nationwide each year, primarily in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka, mainly due to greater availability of donors.
The Advanced Heart Care Clinic is equipped with cutting-edge technology and a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiac care. Patients in Nagpur and surrounding areas will now have access to consultations and treatments that match international standards without having to travel to other metropolitan cities. The clinic will host periodic consultations with top cardiac specialists from Narayana Health City.
