The Indian national cricket team’s most notable female player, Smriti Mandhana is a Left-arm batsman. Born 18th July 1996 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, she grew up in Madhavnagar near Sangli, Maharashtra, Continued her education from Chintaman Rao College. Her father Shrinivas and brother Shravan Mandhana both played cricket at district level.
Her family nurtured her passion for cricket from a young age. Smriti earned her international cap at just 16… was just 16 years old in 2013 and now serves as the Vice-Captain of India’s Women’s National Cricket Squad. Before she made an attempt to pursue a professional career as an athlete, she had already featured in a number of advertisement campaigns promoting cricket products.
Smriti Mandhana officially announced her engagement to Palash Muchhal on November 12, 2025. (musician/filmmaker). Reports in late December 2024 state that their choice to delay their wedding, since Smriti’s father suffered from cardiac arrest one day before the ceremony.
