Early Life and Family
Prashant’s origin has roots in a poor family of Amethi, where his father, Ramendra Tripathi, was a teacher and earned about ₹8,000-₹12,000 per month, later mixing up in farming and a small provisioning business upon the very son Prashant’s earnings. His mother, Anjana Tripathi, and late grandfather Suryakumar Tripathi were always there to support and lend help during his hard times both emotionally and financially.
Local coaches like Rajiv Goyal in Saharanpur with Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association leadership intervened when the financial situation became a tight halt, enabling him to devote himself to cricket from the age of 12 years.
Prashant adores Yuvraj Singh as his hero, he pays homage by donning jersey number 12 as a mark of tribute and attributes the support of the community to his ascent. He cashed his first earnings from the Under-19 and UP T20 leagues into family businesses, which showed his grounded values, notwithstanding the sudden wealth. There is no public information about cousins, but his family expressed their happiness over his IPL auction success by distributing sweets in their house at Amethi.
Education and Formative Years
Prashant was a student of RML School in Amethi up to Class 5, then moved to Bhardwaj School for high school while simultaneously studying and rehearsing cricket at close-by arenas. He eventually went to Sports Hostel in Mainpuri and later on to SBBA Cricket Academy in Saharanpur and he made cricket his priority over higher formal education.
Some reports state that he has a degree of bachelor’s level, though the details are not clear with his fast-track career going on.
Cricket Career Milestones
Prashant had a significant victory at the year 2025 Uttar Pradesh T20 League with Noida Kings, where he made a total of 320 runs at a strike rate of 155.34, including three fifties, and also took 8 wickets which brought him the honour of Emerging Player of the Year.
