MUMBAI: FMCG giant HUL‘s outgoing CEO & MD Sanjiv Mehta took home a total compensation of a little over Rs 22 crore in 2022-23, which includes a bonus of Rs 6.3 crore. While the bonus amount has increased by nearly 50%, the growth in overall compensation over the previous fiscal has been flat.
HUL delivered a 5% underlying volume growth and a 16% growth in turnover to Rs 58,154 crore in 2022-23, the last financial year during Mehta’s decade-long tenure, which is set to end in a month.
Mehta, who is credited to have navigated a tough environment of input cost inflation wherein a majority of the company’s portfolio gained market share, passes on the baton to his successor Rohit Jawa effective from June 27, this year. Jawa, a Singapore national, will receive a total remuneration of over Rs 21 crore, which includes a target bonus of Rs 7 crore.
