Premanand Ji Maharaj’s early days were spent in a family that was very religious and where daily routines consisted of satsang, bhajan, and inviting sadhus, and all that gradually made him naturally detached from the worldly. Like around the age of 9-10 years, he started showing disinterest in games or materialistic pleasures, and the temple visits and scripture readings were his things, and thus, the spiritual awakening was marked for him.
Spiritual journey highlights
He accepted the strongest form of detachment and practiced “Aakashvritti” by depending on God for his needs without trying to satisfy his own taken, and spending years in extreme sadhana along the ganga stretch between Haridwar and Varanasi. Daily Ganga bath even during the coldest winters, long fasting, and in addition to all japa his devotion to Shri Radha-Krishna was so deep that he took the path to Vrindavan after seeing the Raasleela and Chaitanya Leela performances and the witnessing of all the transformations.
In Vrindavan, he performed Charles by being the King of devotion to God through the King’s own doing of telling stories that would touch hearts and holding discourses on piety, divine grace, and pure bhakti while at the same time being the last one and not wanting rituals.
Teachings and philosophy
He directed to surrender the name of God, love and respect parents and teachers, live frugally and simply without greed, and put all the service to the Divine as a holy thing. He would even go so far as to say that true love for God is not limited to caste or social status, it is all about the inner love for Radharani rather than the outer show of it.
The devotees say “come and see” the very man who is love radiating, so millions try him online and offline, especially among young who are looking for meaning in modern chaos.
Ashram and daily life
At the spiritual center of Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj in Vrindavan, everyday morning begins with getting together for bhajans and kirtans, and also, he provides the necessities like food and dwelling for the pilgrims and the ascetics, which are the examples of his practical bhakti.
