Revenue from cigarettes’ business grew by nearly 14% to Rs 7,356 crore. Sustained volume claw-back from illicit trade due to deterrent actions by enforcement agencies and relative stability in taxes have helped drive growth in the cigarettes business, ITC said. Its FMCG business increased by 19% at Rs 4,945 crore during the quarter. Revenues from hotels grew by 101% at Rs 782 crore as business per available room was ahead of pre-pandemic level. Revenues from agri business were down by 18% at Rs 3,579 crore due to restrictions imposed on wheat and rice exports.
